mamas day planner

outside my window…
what I am wearing… 1 of my Show Hope t-shirts and jeans
what I am thankful for… my husband “we are in this together”
I am praying for…  Our pastor & his wife's upcoming move due to going into missions work, Heb.13:21 for several friends and myself, blessing #1 going to college, Lil Guy, our lil one in China-trusting in God’s timing for referral.
I am pondering… Sometimes we can’t see what God is doing - but when you come out of the crisis and look back you can see all God has done. (our Pastors message on 1 Sam. 22 also Psalm 52 & 57 this past Sunday)
I am hearing…daughter typing on laptop, son practicing viola, Jay-Jay the jet plane on TV & rain
Around the house…lots to be done! just trying to keep up with laundry. Hoping to tackle washing windows soon.
I am creating…finishing scrapbooks and display board for blessing #1 homeschool graduation ceremony
I am reading…Anatomy of the Soul by Curt Thompson, The Connected Child by Karyn Purvis, The Discipline of Grace by Jerry Bridges.
things I love… when Lil guy looks in my eyes and smiles, bright green color of spring grass, having my children home all day with me.
a sweet memory from this past week…Blessing #1 telling hubby and I how much he appreciates us AND a friend offering to pray with me weekly!
from the learning rooms… Everyone is working hard to finish our lessons so we can all be done when blessing #1 graduates. Some of the things still working on: Ethiopia report, long division, Spanish, research paper on foundations of public school, Algebra 2, chemistry, government essay and a physics final. Dad and Mom are working on watching Karyn Purvis videos.
from the kitchen…tonight we have a quick dinner-burritos & salad for kids, juicing for hubby and I. Also, I need to make bread tonight for the 2 that can eat wheat.
in the library bag… Our library bag is sad right now-not much going on there! Here's what we have:       Mom-The Whole-Brain Child Daniel J. Siegel, Growing and using Sprouts.  Kids- Dave at Night, Common Sense Economics, Rilla of Ingleside, LEGO Star Wars The Phantom Menace, LEGO Star Wars Anakin to the Rescue, Pensees (the thoughts) by Blaise Pascal.
plans for the rest of the week… Orchestra and Choir, Church Wed.evening-youth group community service at senior home, debate for blessing #1, meeting an adoptive momma for play date!, co-op meeting for next year, hopefully getting together with sis for scrapbooking.
a peek into my world…

Hope you have a blessed week!

catch up and 10 things folks may not know about me

Its been a while since I have posted –busy life here lately. We have been working hard on getting our lessons done so we can wrap up this school year, as well as orchestra/choir concerts and competitions, blessing #1 has had a couple debate tournaments, weekly therapy & horseback riding for Lil guy, hubby has been working over time, I went away with my baby sister for a weekend to a scrap booking retreat which was a fun time. We have been busy finalizing graduation and college plans for blessing #1(I don’t feel old enough to have a child graduating yet!) This past weekend Hubby and I made the investment to travel and go to an Empowered to Connect conference for parents of children from hard places – WOW! life changing stuff (more on that later). And of course waiting for our referral call to see the new lil one God has planned for us. (Ummm yah….we will be bringing a new baby in the home around the same time blessing #1 leaves for college-please pray for us!).

So I thought it would be fun to write 10 things people may not know about me:

2.  I love hot weather!
3.  I wore slippers on my wedding day
4.  One of my favorite places is Niagara Falls
5.  I am the oldest child in my family
6. I have 2 sisters and 1 step brother
7.  My Grandma was one of my favorite people
8.  One of my favorite foods is salads

Hope you have a blessed week! Here is a few pictures from Easter. After church it is tradition to go to my parents for dinner and the annual “egg hunt at Poppa and Grandmas”. My parents have been blessed with 14(15 when our newest one comes home) grand children so far. Love the smile on Lil guys face-he was so proud of the eggs he found.
