We then went shopping at a new Asian market for Chinese New Year goodies, then to Plato's Closet, and a stop at a coffee shop to get a coffee for mom and specialty drinks for them. We were then on our way to Winter Jam! When we arrived at the stadium the line to get in was almost already around the whole building. Thankfully we bought tickets with a lady from our homeschool co-op and we didn’t have to wait outside in the cold too long. We found amazing seats right on the main floor and about 2 rows away from the stage. (Which was great until Skillet preformed…wow! that was too much for these old Mom ears)
The singers & bands at Winter Jam this year were Skillet, Jeremy Camp, Francesca Battistelli, Building 429, Family Force 5, NewSong, For King & Country, Blanca, About a Mile, Veridia - needless to say our girls were super excited to be there. About a Mile came outside and sang a couple songs while we were waiting to get in.
Pastor Tony Nolan had me in tears with his amazing testimony – I never get tired of hearing what the Lord has done. One part of his testimony is that he was adopted at 4 and has since had biological children and also adopted from China, to see/hear his love for Jesus really gave me hope that night. The major part of the Winter Jam tour is to share the Good News of Jesus at every concert so he shared the Gospel with the packed stadium (15,000 people) I love how God uses all situations to bring people to Himself.
