His Mercies are New Every Morning

But this I call to mind,and therefore I have hope:
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;great is your faithfulness.
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,“therefore I will hope in him.”

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High;
to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night, Psalm 92:1-2
But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress. Psalm 59:16
In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. Psalm5:3

I am so thankful for the adoptive and foster care community we are plugged into. It really is an answer to many prayers. They are our "tribe"... they get it - they get us and our kids. We get it -we get them and their kids. We come beside each other, cry together, listen to each other-even the unspoken we can tell just by the look in their eyes, support each other- especially when family members and friends have left our sides, we send encouraging texts to each other - even just small ones but to let them know we are in this with you and your not alone. There is something so healing about just being heard, cared for and encouraging to press on when you know you are not doing it alone! God formed our families through adoption or foster care...which all throughout scripture is His heart -restoring the lost through adoption. We were made for connection...yet so often families who follow Gods call to adoption are left to do it alone - never would missionaries be sent out with no support - yet many families feel abandoned. We had walked this journey alone for several was tough and we felt like we were the only ones who had struggles.

Praising God tonight for our friends who walk beside us and allow us to come walk beside them.

2 Corinthians 1:4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
